Finance for non-financial managers course – 1 day

The principal aim of this program is to improve commercial and general financial awareness for non-finance staff.   The areas covered are designed to be of broad and general interest, but include those where finance and accounting are most likely to influence the management of commercial negotiations and, ultimately business value.

The course is conducted in a work shop format, with the emphasis on “learning by doing”.  Much of the learning occurs in exercises and group discussion where participants are encouraged to share experiences, apply new-found knowledge and bench mark best practice across their peers.   Although grounded in accounting and financial theory, the focus of the program is on the practical and pragmatic application of concepts to real-life situations.   Learning points are illustrated using real case studies and examples from real life.
Detailed case study work.   Much of delegates’ learning occurs when they work in groups to discuss and apply what they are learning to the kinds of situations they are likely to encounter in their day to day work.
This training course is designed to help participants get on the front foot with commercial issues, better equip them for key debates and add value for their organisation.   The material is designed to ensure participants have a higher level of commercial awareness, better enabling them to improve their firm’s commercial position.
